How to access FTP site via IE 7.0

Here is how you can access an FTP site using IE 7.0 and don’t need any FTP client software.

1. Open your IE browser and type in your FTP address, if you get an error message saying “IE cannot display the webpage” as shown below.

2. On the tool bar click on “Page” and “open “FTP site in Windows Explorer” tabs

3. You should get the following message below. You are getting this error message because you are trying to logon using an anonymous account. Click OK

4. Once you click OK you will see the FTP open in IE, but still you are not logged in yet

5. To login using an ID/passwords provided by your ISP/admin, click on FILE -> Login As

6. This will open the log on As box as shown

7. Type in your used ID and passwords and click OK, this will give you access to your FTP account via IE and you can download or upload files without any issues.
